Ordinary Time #4: Readings for July 4

This week marks the 233rd year since the United States declared her independence from Great Britain. Although imperfect, there is no denying the fact that the birth of the U.S.A. has been a special gift to all of us and a blessing in the world.

In the midst of the food and fireworks this weekend let’s take time to thank God for our country, our home, and the freedoms we still possess. However, let us not forget that true freedom comes from life in the Kingdom of God. The NT passage from Galatians highlights this.
