Words for the Week – Sept 29, 2007
2007 September 25
Old Testament: Ezekiel 18:1-32
Psalm: 25
Gospel: Matthew 21:28-32
Epistle: Philippians 2:1-13
Take some time to read and reflect upon these before our worship gathering this week. Also, we will study the first 12 verses of Matthew 5, the Beatitudes. May God bless you as you read.

Paul you know what came to mind about the beatitudes? They are mentioned in Revelation! Blessed meaning finding favor in any circumstance God has allowed us to be in. Blessed has such a rich meaning it could be foretelling the future but also HIS proclaimation. It could be a command or instruction or prediction. It is sooo much more than just happy.
Blessed is the one who reads the word of this prophecy,
and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what
what is written in it, because the time is near. (1st beatitude)
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. (2nd beatitude)
Blessed is he who stays awake and keep his clothes
with him, so that he may not go naked and be
shamefully exposed. (3rd beatitude)
Blessed are those are those who are invited to the
wedding supper of the Lamb. (4th beatitude)
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the
first resurrection. (5th beatitude)
Blessed is he who keep the words of prophecy
in this book. (6th beatitude)
Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they
may have the right to the tree of life and my go
through the gates of the city. (7th beatitude)
Seeing the beatitudes in the future state makes the “now” more
hopeful with so much more meaning. It makes more sense.
Because of the CROSS, qp
Very cool, QP! I like the connections you are making very good stuff.
